No tithe

1 Corinthians 9:18 

What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

No one in our fellowship is paid a salary. Not the Pastor or Elder or Deacons. Our messages are not motivated by giving, trying to keep people in the seats. 

Though we believe that God's Ministers should be supported For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing', and 'The laborer is worthy of his wages'” (1 Tim 5:17-18). In this way, believers help support their pastors for the work they do.

However we do not preach the tithe because it is not a new testament principle. The tithe was a tax for a theocracy that no longer exists. 

We don't ask for money or have a moment where people can give. We have a box in the back where people can give if they want to, if they are able. The same goes for online. So,  If you feel moved to give, then we encourage you to do it joyfully. If you are not able, no worries. But if you do decide to give, we appreciate it. 

1 Corinthians 9:11,12, 14

If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you? If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? 

 In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel. 

2 Corinthians 9:7-9

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Romans 15:26

For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain  contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.

Galatians 2:10

They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.
